History & local expertise

The Toulouse office is part of a rich regional tradition in intellectual property. Its roots lie in the Barre-Laforgue firm, a historic IP player established in Toulouse for several decades and integrated into the IPSILON group in 2019. This initial presence enabled the development of strong, close ties with innovative companies, research centers, and academic institutions throughout the Occitanie region.

In 2023, IPSILON’s acquisition of the NONY firm led to the merger of the Toulouse teams, significantly strengthening the office’s expertise. NONY, present in Toulouse since 2017, had developed solid know-how in biotechnology and mechanical engineering.

This integration brought together a cohesive, multidisciplinary team able to support start-ups, SMEs, large corporations, and academic laboratories, combining strong local roots with a global outlook.
