Fabrice Amedeo completes his Vendée Globe with effort and determination.

After 114 days at sea, Fabrice Amedeo finally crossed the finish line this Tuesday, March 4, 2025, finishing 32nd in the 2025 edition of the Vendée Globe. An emotional moment, worthy of the commitment and determination he demonstrated throughout this race.

Beyond the sporting challenge, this adventure is a formidable scientific project. During his circumnavigation, he conducted a rigorous program of oceanographic measurements. By collecting data on temperature, salinity, CO₂ levels, microplastic concentrations, and surface environmental DNA analysis, he provided the international community with valuable information to guide strategies for preserving our marine ecosystem and deepen our understanding of the effects of climate change.

This race thrilled our teams, who were able to experience all its challenges alongside it. Our colleagues have followed every step of Fabrice's journey with great joy and admiration, sharing his challenges and triumphs. Today, many of us are delighted with his arrival and celebrating his return to our ranks.

IPSILON is proud to support Fabrice and his meaningful project. This partnership showcases our values of innovation, boldness, and commitment alongside those who are creating the world of tomorrow, making it better and more sustainable.

We warmly congratulate Fabrice once again on this incredible achievement, as well as the entire family of partners.

This arrival marks a milestone, but the story continues. The lessons learned from this expedition will be invaluable for science, and we look forward to sharing the upcoming events with you.

Fabrice Amedeo

A former journalist at Le Figaro, Fabrice has transformed his passion for the ocean into a true vocation. During his first round-the-world trip, which he finished in 11th place, he had already demonstrated his abilities and confirmed his commitment to maritime life. With this experience in mind, he oriented his career towards sailing focused on environmental preservation. However, his journey was not without its pitfalls. After a promising first participation, his second attempt was marked by the abandonment of the race after 33 days due to an onboard computer failure. Subsequently, a shipwreck during the 2022 Route du Rhum forced him to start from scratch. These setbacks, although difficult, were overcome thanks to his remarkable ability to bounce back, notably by renovating Arnaud Boissières's old boat, which allowed him to refocus his priorities.
