The litigation service

Litigation aims to enforce IP rights. We prioritize – whenever possible – the amicable settlement of disputes. Our specialists initiate negotiations with the opposing parties' counsel daily to try to find quick and cost-effective transactional solutions to our clients' disputes. 

Litigation can be resolved through mediation, a voluntary and confidential process in which a neutral third party, called a mediator, helps the disputing parties reach a mutually acceptable settlement. Members of our teams are trained in mediation and recognized as mediators. Litigation also includes administrative proceedings: opposition, invalidation, or cancellation, in the field of patents, trademarks, or designs.

Our teams can initiate or intervene in these procedures before certain offices: EPO (European patents), EUIPO (European trademarks and designs), and the offices of certain countries. In the field of patents, dedicated teams also focus on litigation under the Unified Patent Court (UPC), which handles cases related to the infringement and revocation of European patents and so-called "unitary" patents. 

For judicial litigation, members of our teams are experts appointed by the courts (for example, for seizures), and we can assist Attorneys-at-Law in court proceedings. The legal teams intervene in extrajudicial proceedings related to domain names (UDRP, Syreli proceedings, etc.) or to enforce IP rights on websites and social networks.
